Sister Cities International Exchange Visit to Glasgow : September 2011

From 17th – 26th September, SIFC will host 16 delegates from the Interfaith centre of New York (ICNY) and the UNESCO Centre of Catelonia’s Department for Interreligious Dialogue in Barcelona. The delegates will visit a number of voluntary and statutory agencies and places of worship across Scotland.
The ambitious three year ‘Sister Cities’ exchange programme was launched by the Interfaith Centre of New York in 2009. Glasgow was chosen from a number of European cities to participate in this programme in recognition of the extensive inter faith work being undertaken there. Glasgow delegates attended a programme in New York in 2009 and in Barcelona in 2010 and look forward to hosting delegates in September 2011.
